What is causing my headaches?

This document is put together as an informative educational document. It is by no means exhaustive of the types of headaches people can experience. If you are experiencing unusual headaches which are out of character or cause you concern please consult your GP or nearest A&E department immediately. You can also call 999 for an ambulance.

I’m going to mention the more sinister signs first to ensure if you are reading this you immediately seek the help you need in A+E or Call 999. Chiropractors can NOT help with these:-

Worst headache of my life (Sudden onset)
Severe headache associated with pain flexing the neck or bending the knees
In children the triad of symptoms – dizziness, headaches and vomiting
In an adult the triad – headache, vomiting and convulsions

Headaches Chiropractors can help with

Other headaches can be induced by sight problems, dehydration and drugs.
