Chiropractic Testimonials & Reviews
I visited Karen with acute lower back pain, it was difficult to move and walking…. She took time to listen to my symptoms and concerns…..
I found her to be knowledgeable and skilled during my treatment and she put together a treatment plan for me to best aid my recovery……
My only regret is not going to see Karen sooner, years of pain and suffering gone in a few weeks, brilliant, Karen is the ultimate professional, a true master at her craft and so very much more….
I would highly recommend KH Chiropractic. KH Chiropractic have provided me with everything I have asked for. 5* for quality of treatment and customer service.
I couldn’t recommend you more and appreciate your thorough and effective approach. It seems as if your expertise goes beyond classical chiropractic, which helps to remove the problem not only for the short term but also going forward.
I would highly recommend chiropractor Karen Habershon…… She is attentive, friendly and highly professional and makes sure you are immediately comfortable in discussing your issues. Thumbs up!
Karen was the nicest human & made me feel better after just one session. I came in with a lot of pain and she knew exactly what to do to leave me walking normally after an hour. Best chiro experience I’ve had. Highly recommend seeing her!
Chiropractors Treat
Chiropractors help with Migraine prevention and treat some of the most common headaches, such as Cervicogenic Headaches. Chiropractors provide manual treatment methods to help relieve tight neck muscles due to stress and tension in your neck, shoulders and back. Headaches resulting from trauma or imbalanced musculature are also known to respond well to Chiropractic treatment.
Cervicogenic headaches are commonly treated by chiropractors. They originate from dysfunctional joints in the neck and imbalanced muscles in the head, neck and shoulders. Cervicogenic headaches usually present, as a chronic, one sided headache in which pain originates in the cervical spine (neck) and refers into the head. They are usually felt in the back of the head referring over the sides of the skull and behind the eye (usually just one eye).
Cervicogenic Dizziness is experienced when there is a combination of neck problems which is often associated with vertigo like symptoms originating from the neck region. This is often experienced when the neck position is changed. Chiropractic can help with the treatment of some causes of dizziness.
At KH Chiropractic we are regularly consulted regarding neck pain treatment. To book your free 15 minute consultation regarding your neck pain and to find out what treatment is suitable for you call 01392 984959.
Neck pain can be subdivided into two main categories ‘Acute Neck Pain’ and ‘Chronic Neck Pain’. Acute neck pain is usually pain which has been present for less than 3 months whereas ‘Chronic neck pain’ is usually in excess of 6 months.
Whiplash associated disorders can occur from any sudden movement such as slips, falls and car accidents. Whiplash prevents the joints of the neck gliding smoothly as they should do with their self-lubricating joints and instead the joints are forced together damaging the surrounding area, which includes nerves, muscles, ligaments and discs.
Shoulder problems are one of the most common reasons people visit KH Chiropractic Cranbrook, Exeter. Treatment options for conditions such as frozen shoulder and rotator cuff injuries and many more are assessed at the clinic and appropriate treatment discussed.
Frozen shoulder also known as Adhesive Capsulitis, is a condition which causes painful restricted shoulder movement.
Extremity conditions refer to those joints not directly connected to the spine such as Ankles, Knees, hips, shoulders etc. Although chiropractors are commonly consulted regarding back and/or neck complaints they also frequently treat other joints of the body and joint pain.
Tennis elbow clinically known as Lateral Epicondylitis most commonly occurs in those aged between 40-60 years old, with the dominant arm being most commonly affected.
There are two classes of Lower Back Pain acute and chronic. Acute Lower Back Pain generally existing for under 3 months, whereas Chronic Lower Back Pain has usually been present for 6 months or longer.
Osteoarthritis is most commonly found in the elderly and over 50’s, however it can occur earlier if the hip has been affected by another condition. It may arise spontaneously or be secondary to previous trauma with associated instability.
Knee Osteoarthritis is most commonly found in the elderly. It may arise spontaneously or be secondary to previous trauma with associated instability.
Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) aka Runner’s knee is the most common overuse injury of the knee.
Patients who suffer from Plantar Fasciitis usually experience pain on the underside of the foot. It is one of the most common cause of heel pain in adults.

- New Zealand Rugby League team
- London Wasps Colts

Working in the Pregnancy & Paediatrics field
Karen has spent extra time studying the treatment of pregnant women and paediatrics (babies), in addition to experience working in a clinic which attracted a large number of pregnant patients and paediatrics. She enjoys helping pregnant women achieve a more comfortable pregnancy and helping to relax babies into a more settled start to life. Here are a few common complaints new parents have consulted her with:
- Breastfeeding difficulties
- Excessively crying babies
- Babies who don’t appear to be reaching milestones
- Lack of sleep for mother and baby
Since becoming a mother herself she has a whole new vision into this area. Karen says:
‘Experiencing pregnancy and childbirth has brought a whole new understanding. Having met many other mothers (and fathers), along the way it’s all so clear just how unique and individual each parents journey is, from the lead up to conception right through to delivery, postpartum recovery and then the ongoing management of children thereafter. All I can say is I have a whole new respect for women and parenting!’

Recreational time
Since having her first child in 2023 Karen’s level of adventure has eased a little. However Karen does try to get out most days for some form of exercise, perhaps no longer the all day bike rides or hikes.
Sport is an important part of Karen’s life and she understands how frustrating it can be to be held back by injury. She leads an active lifestyle cycling, swimming, surfing, Pilates and free weights. Since having her first child in 2023 the big cycles and mammoth walks have eased off a little, but she still goes on many family adventures in beautiful Devon.
Personally Karen has competed in:
- Devizes to Westminster (125 mile) canoe race winning the ladies doubles
- Bristol half marathon
- Windsor Spartan Sprint
- Prudential 100 (100mile bike ride) – Lots of blog posts on her training journey can be found here
